Relocation assistance is available.ResponsibilitiesLives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work.Identify, solicit, and acquire high-quality non-fiction manuscripts for publication.Develop and maintain strong relationships with authors, agents, and industry professionals.Provide substantive content editing, guiding manuscripts from concept to final publication.Stay informed about market trends and reader preferences to shape publishing decisions.Negotiate contract terms with authors and agents within approved parameters.Contribute to product ideation by researching trends, analyzing bestsellers, and engaging in brainstorming.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with Lifeway’s publishing goals and editorial standards.Represent Lifeway at key conferences and events, identifying new talent and acquisition opportunities.Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and financial objectives.Travel as required to attend industry events, meet authors, and build publishing relationships.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree - English, journalism, Christian studies (or related field), required.Master's degree, in process or completed, required; seminary degree, strongly preferred.Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc), preferred.Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required2+ years of editorial and publishing experience.Experience cultivating ministry platforms and market impact. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.Detail-oriented with strong editorial judgment.Intermediate ability to work within a team environment.Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church.Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferredKnowledge of CBA and ABA publishing landscapes.Experience in author development and acquisition.#J-18808-Ljbffr Apply tot his job
