Position SummaryBoyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Research and Writing Specialist to support the Firm across all practice groups. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, excellent communication, a background in civil litigation and insurance defense, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.We offer a professional and collaborative environment where efficiency, organization, and client service are key. Location & Commitments:• Practice Area / Department: Legal Research and Writing Support – Firmwide (All Practice Groups)• Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week• Work Location:Remote or in office with attendance at hearings and trial if needed.• Must reside in Florida. Responsibilities• Review and analyze case documents, discovery, and records. • Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis. • Summarize findings in clear, organized legal research memoranda. • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, responses to motions, jury instructions, verdict forms, bench memoranda, and legal research memoranda. • Attend hearings and trial if needed. • Monitor legal developments and provide updates relevant to active cases. • Maintain organized research files and documentation.• Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal assistants to support case progress. • Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements & Competencies• Prior experience with civil litigation including the following areas is preferred: insurance defense, bad faith, premises liability, personal injury, property damage, workers’ compensation, appeals, and construction law. • Prior experience in legal research and writing at a law firm or as an appellate law clerk is preferred.• Strong proficiency with legal research platforms (LexisNexis and Protégé [AI]). • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills. • Proficient with bolthires Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Effective time management and prioritization skills. • Works well independently and in a team environment. • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
