As our organization continues to grow, we are expanding our network of trainers who are passionate about educating adult learners and delivering high-quality training that makes a meaningful impact.Role Overview & ExpectationsThe Corporate Trainer will facilitate professional development sessions for adult learners in both virtual and in-person settings. Programs may vary from short workshops to multi-day sessions depending on client needs. Trainers create an interactive environment by presenting content clearly, leading discussions, and helping participants apply new skills in practical ways. Skill Rise 360 offers supportive resources, updated course materials, and consistent communication to ensure trainers have what they need to deliver high-quality learning experience.This is a hybrid rule with most delivery taking place virtually; however, when clients request in-person training, trainers should be fully prepared and comfortable traveling for those sessions. Assignments are offered based on trainer availability as well as expertise, client needs, and course alignment. This opportunity is a 1099 independent contracting position, which does not include employee benefits. Trainers enjoy the flexibility to set their own schedules and choose assignments that fit their availability.Training opportunities are based on client demand and may be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met, therefore assignments are not guaranteed. All trainers must successfully complete a background investigation, and contractors are required to carry and maintain professional liability insurance as a condition of engagement. Minimum Requirements & Technical ExpectationsEducation & Experience· Reside in the Richmond, VA or Washington, DC area· Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human resources, management, or a related field· At least 5 years’ experience delivering training or teaching adult learners· Strong understanding of adult learning principles· Excellent organization, attention to detail, and professionalism· Authorized to work in the United StatesProfessional Skills· Polished communication and presentation skills· Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners at all levels· Effective time management and independence· Dependable, responsive, and professionalTechnical Skills & Workspace· Proficiency with PowerPoint and digital instructional tools· Experience using virtual platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, or Adobe Connect· Ability to use engagement tools (polls, breakout rooms, chat, whiteboards, annotation, reactions, etc.)· Reliable high-speed internet· High-quality webcam and microphone· Quiet, professional environment for virtual delivery·Professional appearance for all training sessionsPreferred Qualification· Demonstrated leadership or management experience within a corporate or organizational setting· Certifications in leadership development, coaching, or management practices (optional but valued)· Experience facilitating leadership training, team development sessions, or management workshops· Strong background in organizational behavior, team dynamics, or performance management· Understanding of Change Management and Resilience practices· Knowledge of Team Development and Collaboration techniques· Familiarity with Strategic Thinking and Decision-Making processes· Understanding of Communication and Influence in leadership contexts· Knowledge of Self-Management and personal accountability strategiesApplication ProcessApplications Close: December 21Sample Training Video Due: December 23Submission of the sample training video by the deadline is required to be considered for an interview.First-Round Interviews: January 5 – January 16Second-Round Interviews: January 26 – February 2Final Offers Issued No Later Than: February 16Notes: Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted with instructions for submitting a short sample training video.
