About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Treasurer to join our dynamic Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring liquidity across our wallet and pay-out operations, supporting business continuity and growth across markets.
You will work closely with the Treasury Manager and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to maintain strong financial control, manage risk, and optimise cash positioning.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Treasurer, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring and managing cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity across all pay-out partners and internal channels
Supporting the preparation of short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasts to identify funding gaps
Assisting in the management of surplus cash to maximise returns while maintaining risk controls
Maintaining and administering treasury accounts across external providers and partners
Building and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners and pay-out providers
Supporting financial risk management strategies and ensuring controls are effectively implemented
Assisting with treasury reporting and providing insights to support decision-making
Contributing to the development and improvement of treasury policies, controls, and processes
Participating in product and project discussions to ensure treasury requirements are met
Collaborating across teams to understand end-to-end financial processes and data flows
What You Bring
Minimum Requirements:
BCom in Accounting or a related field
At least 3 years’ experience in a treasury or similar finance role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Advantageous:
Experience within a multinational environment
Exposure to treasury operations in fintech or financial services
Knowledge of Mukuru products and systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
High attention to detail with a structured, process-driven mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
Strong relationship-building skills across internal and external networks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
