This is a per diem position working 8-hr shifts generally starting at 8am or 8:30am. We have weekday and weekend shifts available for coverage, ideally would work 3-6 shifts every 2 weeks as needed. The role is hybrid-both on-site at our 4S Ranch clinic and remote. Initial training will be on-site for 2-8 weeks (ideally 40 hours/week for 2 weeks), the duration is based on training progress. After training, you will work one week on-site followed by four weeks remote for the shifts picked up.

What you'll do:
• Primarily indirect patient care (phones, messages) but may provide direct patient care when working on site.
• Assist patients, staff, and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population.
• Assist with the leadership of the clinical and clerical staff.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
• Phone triage and triaging patients who present to the clinic
• Assist with phone calls and portal messages
• Documentation in EMR (electronic medical record)
• Perform nursing tasks within scope of practice.
• Support OBGYN and work a hybrid of onsite and remote to assist the team as needed.
• Practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance and be able to delegate tasks appropriately.
• Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

Qualifications
Required Certification/Registration:
• CA RN License
• BLS through the American Heart Association
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
• 2+ years of Adult Medicine experience as an RN
• RN experience in Pediatrics and/or OBGYN
• Telephone triage experience
• Clinic/outpatient experience
• Remote work background
• Epic EHR proficiency
• MS Office Suite familiarity
