BAX Engineering is a privately owned engineering and surveying firm looking for an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join their team. The role involves working on a variety of projects related to flood studies, stormwater management, and drainage design for public and private clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and similar software
- Prepare FEMA CLOMR and LOMR submittals
- Design stormwater detention, retention, and water quality improvements
- Design drainage systems and stormwater conveyance infrastructure
- Perform watershed studies and bridge and culvert scour analyses
- Prepare engineering reports, construction documents, permit applications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams throughout the design process
Skills
- Three or more years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PondPack, StormCAD, or similar modeling software
- Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and collaborating with others to deliver quality projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
