Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Climate House US is a creative think tank focused on using the arts to address climate change. They are seeking a volunteer graphic designer to lead the brand design for a forest protection print project that will serve as a key component of their inaugural campaign.
Responsibilities
- Designing its core inaugural output–a small 20-30 page accordion fold cookbook + compendium to be printed and available in a virtual format
- Poetic forest narrative framing the importance of forests
- An image of the Amazon forest with linked sound file
- Forest-protection recipes + guidelines to host your own forest protection party
- Tools and policy efforts underway to protect global forests
- Discuss the project's visual language: a poetic visualization of the forest canopy
- Leveraging core brand language of flip books, atmosphere, visual poetry, continuity, and progression
- Integrate visual cues such as the forest canopy, some culinary illustrations, and text that presents like visual poetry
- Inputting final text into the layout
Skills
- Graphic design experience
- Ability to design print materials
