Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Positive Masculinity Now is a startup focused on creating a transformative path for masculinity. They are seeking a Human Resources Specialist Intern to assist in sourcing and recruiting talent while managing onboarding processes and providing support to new team members.
Responsibilities
- Source, attract, select, and recruit top talent candidates using various outlets such as LinkedIn and applicant tracking systems such as Handshake and Jobsoid
- Focus efforts on talent acquisition strategies to bring qualified candidates for each open position
- Seek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent
- Conduct the first interview and schedule the second interview with the team leader
- Administer all hiring paperwork for new Teammates and assist with the orientation process
- Be the main point of contact for new Teammates
- Update Teammate bios, create and update profiles of Teammates
- Train new Teammates and guide them through our onboarding and recruiting processes
- Handle employment verification and letters of recommendation
- Process departures
- Attend team meetings as needed
Skills
- Must be a citizen of the U.S or Canada
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Does not hold a visa or need sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be in the United States for the entire internship period, 200 hours
- 18 years or older
- Fluent in English speaking and writing
- Have a reliable computer, laptop (not a chromebook), and internet
- Be able to commit 10 hours a week
- Not currently in an internship
