They are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Territory Account Manager to manage existing accounts, develop new business opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand business within assigned accounts
- Prospect and acquire new customers throughout the assigned territory
- Execute territory growth strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals
- Conduct in-person and virtual customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and outbound prospecting
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer support
- Analyze territory performance and develop action plans to increase revenue and market penetration
- Utilize CRM software to manage customer interactions, sales activity, forecasts, and pipeline reporting
- Attend industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company products and services
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 3+ years of experience in territory sales, account management, business development, or outside sales
- Proven ability to develop new business while growing existing customer relationships
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience managing a geographic sales territory and meeting sales objectives
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness to travel up to 35% throughout the assigned territory
- Experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry or working with independent agency distribution channels
- Background in B2B sales, channel sales, or partner development
- Experience presenting to executive-level clients and conducting agency or customer training sessions
