Groundfloor Finance is a remote-friendly, high-growth wealthtech company based out of Atlanta, providing public access to private markets. They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead high-quality, human-centered design efforts for their investment platform, collaborating closely with the Product team to enhance user experiences and drive engagement among various investor segments.
Responsibilities
- Help create a high performance design culture both by setting a high quality bar and mentoring other cross-functional designers
- Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems; goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new products
- Manage the execution of design projects and the development of the design team
- Proactively offer recommendations and solutions by championing high quality design standards grounded in research and analysis
- Create deliverables at various levels of fidelity from sketches to wireframes to final designs
- Communicate progress and key updates with other team members on a regular basis
- Cultivate a deep understanding of Groundfloor’s existing products and our users
- Supporting early product definition by working closely with stakeholders and customers to participate in discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunities
- Work with product managers to understand customer needs and define opportunities through usability testing

- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and knowledge of user-centered design activities from research, concepting, flows, sitemaps, wireframes, to high fidelity user interfaces

- Storytelling: The ability to present design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps; strength in developing mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how products will function and look like
- Flying at different altitudes: The ability to deliver both wireframes and high-quality, polished designs using Figma
- 7+ years of product design experience, ideally designing consumer-facing digital products. Fintech, investing, wealthtech, or real estate product experience is a plus
- Advanced Figma skills
- Experience with financial tools, investment platforms, and/or real estate products; professional experience preferred
- Experience collaborating with front end developers to create efficient design systems
- Success in raising the design bar on consumer-facing products, emphasizing a customer first approach
- High degree of financial literacy, comfortable with basic concepts related to building and managing a personal portfolio of investments in public and private market securities
