Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hired Recruiters is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer skilled in React Native to join their team. This role involves building and architecting features for a rapidly growing user base, leading and mentoring a team, and ensuring a great product experience through cutting-edge technologies. The engineer will also collaborate across teams and improve QA and testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate rapidly on engaging features (while squashing bugs) for the React Native app
- Instrument and improve the overall performance of the React Native app, from startup time to navigation latencies
- Help define the technical vision for the team, codebase and tooling
- Collaborate directly with the product design team and other engineering (Web, Backend) teams
- Mentor and unblock other engineers on the team
- Interview candidates and help with hiring and onboarding more engineers to the team
- Improve QA processes and automated testing infrastructure to ensure more frequent releases
Skills
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with an expert level of knowledge with React Native, JS, GraphQL and their ecosystems
- Experience with full-stack development
- Ability to build well-tested and polished features quickly
- Ability to identify when to make appropriate tradeoffs to ship quickly vs. when to take the time to do things right
- Ability to identify the most valuable areas to direct energy in ambiguous situations
- Experience debugging and solving performance issues in React Native
- React Navigation experience is a plus
- Experience mentoring junior engineers on the team or acting as the tech lead
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
- Reside in USA/Canada
