The role involves leading marketing analytics engineering, managing MarTech platforms, and implementing customer data strategies to drive marketing performance and deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end GA4 and GTM architecture, implementation, and governance across enterprise client engagements
- Design and implement scalable, standards-compliant data layer architectures for web and mobile properties
- Configure and govern GA4 properties — data streams, custom events, dimensions, conversions, audiences, and attribution models
- Build and maintain GTM container frameworks — tag governance standards, trigger management, variable libraries, and server-side GTM deployments
- Integrate GA4 with BigQuery — designing export schemas, building SQL queries, and enabling advanced marketing data analysis
- Manage and optimize MarTech platforms — Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Acoustic, HubSpot, or similar — ensuring seamless integration and maximum performance
- Design and implement CDP data strategies — customer data unification, segmentation, audience activation, and identity resolution
- Build and maintain marketing analytics dashboards and reporting tools — Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI — delivering clear, actionable insights to marketing and business leadership
- Develop and execute A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to optimize campaign and channel performance
- Analyze customer journeys, funnel performance, and cohort behavior to surface insights that drive marketing strategy
- Conduct comprehensive tag audits, data validation, and QA across client digital properties
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate marketing analytics workflows — AI-assisted tag auditing, predictive segmentation, anomaly detection, and reporting automation
- Define and enforce analytics data governance standards, tagging best practices, and data quality frameworks across all MarTech and CDP platforms
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new MarTech tools and platforms to continuously modernize the marketing technology stack
- Serve as the go-to MarTech and marketing analytics authority for client stakeholders — advising on strategy, technology, and measurement
- Mentor junior analytics engineers and MarTech specialists on GA4, GTM, CDP, and data layer best practices
Skills
- 8+ years of experience across marketing analytics engineering, MarTech, and digital analytics
- Expert-level Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — property architecture, data streams, custom events, dimensions, conversions, attribution models, and reporting
- Expert-level Google Tag Manager (GTM) — container governance, data layer design, trigger and variable management, and server-side GTM deployments
- Deep understanding of digital analytics data layer architecture and implementation standards
- Experience integrating GA4 with BigQuery — raw data export, SQL querying, and advanced marketing analysis
- Hands-on experience with MarTech platforms — Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Acoustic, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar
- Experience with CDP platforms — Segment, Tealium, mParticle, or similar — for customer data unification, segmentation, and activation
- Strong SQL skills — querying, transforming, and analyzing large marketing and analytics datasets
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools — Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Strong A/B testing and experimentation framework experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills — able to translate complex analytics and MarTech details for non-technical marketing and business stakeholders
- Experience with server-side tagging and first-party data collection strategies
- Familiarity with consent management platforms — OneTrust, Cookiebot, or similar — and privacy-compliant analytics implementation
- Experience with AI-powered marketing tools — predictive analytics, AI-driven segmentation, or generative AI for marketing insights
- Experience with omnichannel marketing orchestration and real-time personalization
- Familiarity with dbt or data pipeline tools for marketing data transformation
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM compliance in the context of marketing analytics
- Google Analytics 4 certification, GTM certification, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Braze certification
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, healthcare, or financial services marketing environments
