They are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to drive high-velocity commercial deal cycles and negotiate complex B2B SaaS agreements to accelerate revenue growth for the North America market.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts, with an emphasis on B2B SaaS agreements, enterprise MSAs, service agreements, and other commercial contracts under New York law
- Provide pragmatic, risk-calibrated legal guidance on complex contract terms, balancing strategic business objectives and revenue goals with robust risk mitigation and regulatory compliance
- Own and optimize the end-to-end contract lifecycle management process, scaling operational efficiency through automated workflows, playbook development, and legal tech integration
- Serve as a trusted partner to cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Product, and InfoSec) to unblock bottlenecks, provide contract interpretation, and streamline high-velocity deal execution
Skills
- Legal degree from an accredited U.S. law school
- 5 to 7+ years of experience practicing as a commercial or corporate attorney, with a track record of handling technology and software contracts
- Solid experience negotiating SaaS and software-related agreements, with a good understanding of standard commercial terms like limitations of liability, data processing agreements (DPAs), and intellectual property rights
- Working knowledge of major data protection and privacy frameworks, such as GDPR and CCPA, as they apply to cloud-based software
- Experience working in-house at a technology, fintech, or regtech company is a plus, along with general familiarity with standard compliance practices
