Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blu Omega is seeking a Senior Health Analytics Consultant to support a federal program focused on healthcare policy and payment models. This role involves analyzing Medicare claims, developing analytical models, and supporting policy/payment model initiatives to advance healthcare outcomes through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Medicare claims data and related health data
- Develop and verify analysis parameters, prepare documentation, and write efficient analysis code using SQL, Python, R, SAS, or statistical methodologies
- Support healthcare policy and payment model initiatives with actionable insights
- Create detailed documentation and communicate findings effectively
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Skills
- Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, or related fields
- Six or more years of experience supporting health analytics, research, or consulting environments
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, R, and/or SAS for data analysis
- Experience with healthcare claims and enrollment data within large data warehouse environments
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data structures, patient attribution, and claims data
- Ability to develop and verify analysis parameters, create documentation, and produce high-quality code
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex analyses and collaborating with teams
