Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pride Philanthropy, Inc. is a national fundraising consulting firm that helps nonprofit organizations maximize philanthropic revenue. They are seeking a Senior Fundraising Consultant and Executive Director of Client Strategy to manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients, develop fundraising strategies, and provide strategic counsel and practical implementation support.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately four to six full-service nonprofit clients
- Build trusted working relationships with nonprofit CEOs, executive directors, foundation leaders, chief development officers, development staff, board members and campaign volunteers
- Assess each client’s fundraising capacity, organizational readiness, leadership structure, donor pipeline and development operation
- Translate broad fundraising goals into specific strategies, work plans, responsibilities and deadlines
- Provide candid, practical counsel when a client’s expectations, infrastructure or proposed strategy are unrealistic
- Maintain consistent, timely and professional communication with clients and the PRIDE team
- Help clients transition from short-term projects into appropriate ongoing support when continued engagement would produce meaningful value
- Develop and guide major-gift strategies, including prospect identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Help clients prioritize donor portfolios and determine the strongest next action for individual prospects
- Prepare nonprofit executives, development staff, board members and volunteers for donor meetings and solicitations
- Develop campaign strategy, gift tables, prospect plans, volunteer structures, cases for support and campaign work plans
- Advise clients on campaign goals, timing, readiness, leadership recruitment and donor engagement
- Support or lead capital, comprehensive, endowment and major-gift campaigns
- Evaluate stalled or underperforming fundraising efforts and recommend corrective action
- Plan and manage campaign feasibility studies, opportunity assessments and fundraising program evaluations
- Conduct confidential interviews with donors, board members, community leaders and organizational stakeholders
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings
- Develop practical recommendations regarding campaign potential, fundraising goals, internal readiness, staffing, volunteer leadership and next steps
- Present findings clearly to executives, boards and campaign leadership
- Lead client meetings, board sessions, planning retreats, campaign meetings and fundraising trainings
- Present complex fundraising recommendations in a direct and understandable manner
- Coach executives, development staff and volunteers through difficult donor and leadership situations
- Produce high-quality reports, presentations, work plans, meeting materials and written recommendations
- Contribute to PRIDE webinars, conferences, academies, educational resources and thought leadership
- Maintain accurate client records, work plans, meeting notes, deliverables and follow-up commitments
- Coordinate effectively with other PRIDE consultants and administrative staff
- Manage competing client priorities without allowing deadlines or communication to slip
- Use modern productivity, research, presentation and artificial-intelligence tools appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and professional judgment
- Contribute to internal strategy, process improvement, service development and business growth
- Represent PRIDE professionally at industry events, conferences and client meetings
Skills
- Significant progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, advancement, campaign management, development leadership or fundraising consulting (5-10 years minimum)
- Direct involvement in major-gift fundraising or capital campaigns
- Clear evidence of personal ownership for fundraising strategy, donor movement, campaign execution or gift outcomes
- Experience advising or working closely with nonprofit executives, senior development professionals, boards or campaign leaders
- Strong executive communication, writing, presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience managing several complex projects, departments, accounts or client relationships simultaneously
- The ability to work successfully in a remote environment and travel regularly
- CFRE certification, or willingness to pursue and maintain the credential with company support
- Experience personally cultivating, soliciting or closing major gifts
- Experience managing a capital, comprehensive or major-gift campaign
- Experience conducting feasibility studies or organizational assessments
- Previous consulting, professional-services or account-management experience
- Experience directly managing, developing or coaching fundraising professionals
- Experience in nonprofit healthcare, hospice, human services, education, community foundations or related sectors
- Experience facilitating board, volunteer or executive leadership sessions
