The Sales Manager and Business Development role involves owning new business in the Greater Miami area, from prospecting to closing deals, focusing on consultative sales in the smart home market.
Responsibilities
- Prospect builders, designers, architects, and homeowners through outbound outreach, networking, and referrals
- Conduct in-home sales consultations - listen to how clients live, scope the opportunity, and recommend the right solutions
- Develop and present tailored sales proposals, partnering with our system designers on technical scope
- Present Daisy’s solutions to trade partners and clients - one-on-one and in small group settings
- Run your pipeline in our CRM, log every touch, manage stages, and use the data to drive your outreach plan
- Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Skills
- Proven track record in sales hunting or business development - you've built pipeline from scratch and closed deals
- Experience conducting in-home or on-site sales consultations and developing your own proposals
- Disciplined CRM user - you treat your CRM as your operating system for business development, not an afterthought. You log activity, manage pipeline stages, set follow-ups, and use the data to plan your week
- Strong presentation and relationship-building skills
- Self-directed and organized - you manage your own calendar, follow-ups, and pipeline without being chased
- Comfortable learning smart home technology (or already familiar)
- 3+ years in custom integration, A/V, lighting control, low-voltage, or residential construction or related trade sales
- Existing relationships with Miami-area builders, designers, or architects
- Working knowledge of home automation platforms
- Consistent record of beating quota
