Applied Systems is a worldwide leader in insurance technology, seeking a Sales Consultant to manage and grow relationships with existing customers. This role focuses on retention, renewals, and expansion while requiring a proactive approach to identify growth opportunities within assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Represent Applied Systems in customer meetings, business reviews, and select industry events to strengthen relationships and drive adoption
- Own customer communication cadence, ensuring timely follow-up on requests, action items, and opportunities across your assigned accounts
- Develop and execute account plans that support renewals, retention, and growth; maintain an active pipeline of expansion opportunities across your assigned book of business
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and maintain accurate renewal forecasting by tracking account health, risks, milestones, and next steps in partnership with internal teams
- Proactively prospect within existing accounts (e.g., whitespace mapping, stakeholder expansion, discovery conversations) to identify, qualify, and close up-sell/cross-sell opportunities aligned to customer needs and usage trends
Skills
- 5+ years of successful B2B account management, customer success, or consultative sales experience required; must have demonstrated ability to prospect and drive expansion within an existing customer portfolio
- A valid driver's license and safe driving record is required
- Ability to work 100% remotely, home office and reside in one of the following markets: Michigan
- Travel up to 50% within assigned territory
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing, or equivalent work experience
- SaaS experience and/or technology solution experience
- Experience managing renewals, retention, and expansion motions (including negotiation and forecasting)
- Salesforce, or CRM experience
