The role involves developing new business opportunities in Northern California, building relationships with various stakeholders, and achieving sales goals through effective negotiation and project management.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within the Northern California territory
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, landscape architects, municipalities, schools, developers, and property owners
- Prospect through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events
- Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and product presentations
- Develop proposals and coordinate with estimating and operations teams
- Negotiate pricing, project scope, and contract terms
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM records
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution
- Represent ProGreen at industry functions, trade shows, and networking events
- Achieve or exceed established sales and revenue goals
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Outbound Sales experience, MinimumRequiredYears=3
- Previous sales experience in the turf industry
- Strong knowledge of artificial turf products, applications, and installation processes
- Proven track record of generating new business and closing sales opportunities
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory
- Must reside within the Northern California region
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
- Experience using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and customer relationships
- Ability to prepare proposals, estimates, and sales presentations
- Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and cloud-based applications in the field
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
