The Project Engineer will develop and finalize technical project designs while overseeing project management activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- In general, the Enerflex Project Engineer will lead all other Engineering Groups (process, instrumentation, controls, design & drafting, vessels and purchasing) in performing all tasks required to support the production of the final product
- In addition, the Enerflex Project Engineer will manage the project by coordinating all logistical particulars with the customer and all other departments within Enerflex
- The Enerflex Project Engineer will be responsible for the items that he/she engineers and procures as outlined in the detailed responsibilities listed below
- After project award, liaison with the Enerflex Applications Team to hand over all data used for estimating and understand the background and particulars associated with the project
- Identify the customer’s requirements (technical/products problems, execution issues) and bring effective solutions
- Coordinate technical issues with the customer (technical clarification, answer technical comments, deviation requests) and reach consensus
- Attend certain internal and external meetings (kick off, coordination, HAZOP etc.)
- Develop the project P&ID’s and requisition all major equipment and coordinate all other deliverables
- Participate in all aspects of design review with the project team
- Ensure proper understanding of the Customer’s technical needs inside Enerflex
- Generate the engineered Bill of Material for the assigned project items
- Develop the process description narratives and assemble the associated IOM literature
- Ensure accuracy of job quality requirements
- Perform P&ID walk down of final package to ensure compliance with design
- Manage and schedule drawing list submitted to the customer
- Follow up on technical issues thru shipment and commissioning as needed
- Manage and control engineering hours allocated to the job
- Support the correct scheduling and monitor the progress of vendor drawings
- Report on engineering issues and progress for all assigned items
- Coordinate and approve all design & drafting deliverables
- Technical interface with suppliers to obtain quotations for all assigned items
- Technical interface with buyers to confirm BOM accuracy for all assigned items
- Technical interface with shop personnel for all assigned items
- Identify all testing specifications and signoff on all testing activities
- Support activities for all installation, commissioning and startup needs
Skills
- Engineering or Engineering Technology degree and or an equivalent background
- Minimum of 5 years' industry related experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing pressure vessel design calculations using code calculation software (Compress or PV Elite) as part of designing new units
- Solid IT skills
- Fluency in English

- Capability of synthesis of complex problems
- Solid customer oriented skills (communicator, explainer)
- Extensive experience & knowledge in designing of ASME Pressure Vessel (Sec. VIII) Code
- Basic knowledge of the fundamentals required by the equipment used in our products: Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Chemistry, Instrumentation & Controls, Experience with packaging condensate Stabilizers, amine units, TEG, Cryo's, etc
