This internship will support the program management staff to execute the operations and logistics of the Refugee Representation team, focusing on managing multiple projects to enhance the team's legal representation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Intern responsibilities include assisting in day-to-day operations, including planning team meetings and trainings, updating the database, budget management, and resource organization
- Intern will support financial management and reporting by filing receipts, maintaining accurate expense tracking, and ensuring that team budgets align with allocations to support timely and accurate funder reporting
- Intern will help maintain and track case data and details for our records and to collaborate with communications and advocacy teams to help identify and share compelling stories that highlight the impact of our work
- Intern will be involved in the drafting of written content such as newsletters or pro bono partner email blasts
- Intern will support the implementation of major collaboration projects with a focus on leveraging technology and improving systems to optimize the reach of the Refugee Representation team’s impact
- Interns will have opportunities to attend legal trainings, advocacy groups, and coalition meetings
Skills
- Dedicated interest and passion for immigration law and protecting the rights of migrants
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
- Excellent database management and data analysis skills, including proficiency with excel
- Experienced in planning and executing events or overseeing a project from beginning to end
- Self-sufficient and able to manage tasks independently in a remote work environment
- Displays leadership by making strategic recommendations for improved operations and workflows
- Education: Undergraduate
