They are seeking a Manager of Data Science to lead a team of data scientists, driving the execution of their AI roadmap and delivering scalable machine learning solutions that impact business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Data Scientists, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models—from data exploration and prototyping to deployment and monitoring
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate complex business problems into actionable data science projects
- Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and model validation; conduct rigorous peer reviews
- Lead the design and analysis of A/B tests and experimentation frameworks to measure the impact of new features
- Work with Data Engineering to ensure our data pipelines and infrastructure support high-velocity model iteration
- Communicate technical results to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data insights drive day-to-day business decisions
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science, with at least 1–2 years in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., Lead Data Scientist or People Manager)
- Deep expertise in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proven ability to 'bridge the gap' between technical execution and business value
- Experience in B2B, marketplace, travel, or e-commerce industries is highly preferred
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field (CS, Stats, Math, Physics) is a plus
