EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Lead Test Automation Engineer to spearhead mobile application testing initiatives for Android and iOS platforms. In this role, you will define test strategies, enhance automation frameworks, and lead a team of automation engineers to deliver high-quality solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Define test strategy and communicate it effectively to the automation team
- Define tool configuration and setup for automation initiatives
- Enhance the existing Katalon Studio framework and propose efficient solutions
- Add detailed test cases and execute them to ensure comprehensive coverage
- Generate user-friendly test reports and integrate Katalon Automation Reports with Polarion
- Validate custom keywords and implement setup for automation processes
- Establish test processes, roles, and responsibilities within the team
- Plan test automation activities and ensure the team follows standard processes
- Train, coach, and support team members, facilitating smooth transition to the team
- Run automation code within CI/CD pipelines to feed into DevOps workflows
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in test automation for mobile applications (Android, iOS)
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Strong skills in Java
- Expertise in test automation framework development (KD, DD, HD)
- Proficiency in BDD development and experience with TDD frameworks
- Background in defining and understanding test strategies
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline concepts and experience running automation code within pipelines
- Strong skills in GitLab, Bitbucket, and TeamCity
- Knowledge of Katalon Studio, Appium, and Source Tree
- Competency in unit and UX testing
- Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Strong focus on delivering quality code on time
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
- Showcase of hands-on experience with the Katalon tool
- Past experience working directly with clients
