They are seeking a Lead Fullstack Engineer to work closely with executive leadership and clinical teams to build scalable products that enhance patient experiences and streamline clinical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts across patient-facing applications, clinical workflows, and internal operational tools
- Partner closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful technical solutions
- Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, integrations, and automation workflows
- Develop AI-powered features, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation systems
- Integrate with healthcare platforms, EMRs, billing systems, CRMs, and third-party services
- Build and support healthcare interoperability solutions using standards such as HL7 and FHIR
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and infrastructure on AWS
- Ensure applications meet healthcare security, privacy, and compliance standards, including HIPAA
- Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from architecture and technical design to implementation and continuous improvement
- Own technical initiatives end-to-end while collaborating across engineering, product, and clinical teams
Skills
- 10+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
- Strong backend development experience with Python, Go, Ruby, or similar modern technologies
- Frontend experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB
- Proven experience designing, building, and scaling cloud-native applications on AWS or GCP
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled products, intelligent workflows, or automation systems
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and product capabilities
- Previous experience in healthcare organizations, healthtech companies, or patient-focused products
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability, including HL7 and FHIR
- Experience integrating with EMRs, billing platforms, CRMs, marketing platforms, and other third-party systems
- Familiarity with connected health ecosystems such as Apple Health, Google Health, Oura, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of healthcare security, privacy, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA
- Comfortable collaborating directly with executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Experience integrating with healthcare EMR platforms
- Experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools such as n8n
- Familiarity with CRM, project management, and operational platforms
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or HITRUST
- Previous experience working at venture-backed or high-growth startups
