Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hi-5 ABA is a company that supports a growing network of ABA therapy practices by providing operational systems and resources. They are seeking a Healthcare RCM Account Manager to serve as the primary revenue cycle liaison between Hi-5 ABA, franchise owners, and RCM technology partners, overseeing billing exceptions and improving collections.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary billing and revenue cycle point of contact for assigned Hi-5 ABA franchisees
- Conduct monthly billing review meetings with each assigned practice, with more frequent meetings when operational needs require additional support
- Build strong working relationships with franchise owners, office managers, front-desk teams, and other practice stakeholders
- Communicate billing concerns, outstanding tasks, revenue risks, and recommended next steps clearly and professionally
- Onboard franchise practices and staff to Hi-5 ABA’s RCM systems and billing workflows
- Train office teams on accurate front-end data entry, including eligibility verification, authorizations, patient demographics, insurance information, and documentation requirements
- Answer billing-system and workflow questions from franchise staff
- Reinforce processes that promote clean claims, timely payment, and accurate patient balances
- Monitor task queues, denial management workflows, and claim exceptions within the RCM platform
- Investigate claims requiring manual review or judgment
- Coordinate the submission of missing medical records, corrected claims, reconsiderations, and payer appeals
- Research complex denials and determine appropriate resolution steps
- Escalate high-risk, recurring, or unresolved issues to the RCM Director or appropriate support partner
- Review weekly revenue cycle performance for assigned practices, including: Net Collection Rate, Days in Accounts Receivable, Aging balances, Denial trends, Outstanding claims, Unresolved task volume
- Identify revenue leaks, workflow breakdowns, and trends affecting cash flow
- Provide franchise owners with clear summaries, action items, and recommendations
- Track follow-up items to ensure billing issues are resolved promptly
- Oversee EOB logging and reconciliation for assigned ABA practices
- Ensure patient responsibility amounts are accurately recorded and communicated
- Review discrepancies involving copays, coinsurance, deductibles, adjustments, and insurance payments
- Support franchise staff in maintaining accurate patient account balances
- Identify recurring payer-related issues across multiple practices
- Serve as a feedback loop between franchisees, Hi-5 ABA leadership, and the RCM system support team
- Recommend workflow or system improvements that reduce preventable denials and manual work
- Partner with RCM technology support to update billing rules, claim edits, and automated workflows when payer requirements change
- Help develop standardized billing procedures and training resources for the franchise network
Skills
- Strong experience with healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, or accounts receivable
- Demonstrated knowledge of ABA billing processes, CPT codes, authorizations, documentation requirements, and payer policies
- Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicaid, or other healthcare payers
- Experience reviewing denials, EOBs, aging reports, patient responsibility, and collection performance
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new billing platforms, dashboards, and analytics tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to build trust with business owners and practice staff
- Ability to explain complex billing issues clearly and patiently
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Previous experience supporting multiple ABA practices, provider groups, franchise locations, or healthcare clients
- Experience in an RCM account management, billing liaison, revenue cycle specialist, or client success role
- Experience with denial management, appeals, payer escalations, and revenue cycle analytics
- Familiarity with ABA practice management, electronic health record, or RCM software platforms
