Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality
- Write and test high quality code based on design specification and product requirements with minimal support from team and senior engineers on the team
- Participate in planning and design discussions with product managers and designers
- Write clean, maintainable code using technologies like Python, React, and AWS
- Conduct testing and debugging software to ensure high quality
- Become a subject matter expert on your team’s products
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Code of Conduct: Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance
Skills
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Strong Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript (React) experience
- Experience with PostgreSQL database knowledge, e.g. common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, full-text or geospatial indexing techniques
- Proficiency targeting infrastructure as code with a security mindset (AWS, Terraform)
- Participation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- A history of delivering complex web applications to the cloud
- Strong knowledge of unit testing across multiple paradigms
- Experience working with microservices/an API-based application paradigm
