The Engineering Professional – Mechanical Engineering plays a key role in supporting product development and research & development activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure engineering excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Supporting product development, sustaining engineering, design, and R&D activities across mechanical engineering projects
- Planning and conducting research, design, and development activities for standard engineering assignments
- Applying engineering techniques to solve technical challenges and develop sound design recommendations
- Evaluating engineering results for applicability, validity, and conformance to specifications and requirements
- Contributing to projects with moderate impact on product cost, performance, manufacturing methods, and standardization efforts
- Assisting in project planning, execution, and technical reviews to ensure successful project delivery
- Supporting larger projects or leading smaller projects under appropriate supervision
- Handling special engineering assignments and driving solutions that require creativity and technical judgment
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, support organizations, and suppliers to ensure successful integration and execution
- Providing guidance and work direction to less experienced engineers and technicians when required
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes, quality, and product performance
Skills
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Have foundational technical expertise with experience in mechanical simulations and 3D modeling
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Have basic project management skills and the ability to support multiple priorities
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while building strong peer relationships across functions
- Be action-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, ethics, and customer focus
- Show the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world product and design challenges
- Be comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment while taking ownership of assigned tasks
