This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content writing, SEO optimization, and content creation, ideal for students looking to build their portfolio or earn school credit.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development and implementation of content writing with a heavy focus on articles and case studies
- Helping to find podcasts, shows, and other speaker opportunities for our company to be featured on
- Write and edit blogs for the company website
- SEO Optimization to help enhance visibility, including applying SEO practices to optimize blog content for search visibility
- Coordinate tasks among writing interns
- Research relevant magazines and pitch WG Business Enterprises to secure coverage
- Draft interview responses when selected for magazine features
- Research, identify, and post business information on free online business directories for promotion
- Attend monthly check-in meeting with the writing and social media team to align tasks and progress
- Write LinkedIn newsletters
- Develop case studies highlighting past client work and successes
Skills
- Currently a high school junior/senior, college student (degree not required), or recent graduate
- Must be able to commit to the entire year
- Strong understanding of content writing and digital trends
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Familiar with blogging, article writing, case studies, and SEO
- Can work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
- Willingness to write and produce content at least weekly
- Eager to learn and contribute creatively to a collaborative team
