Fourth Floor is a leading provider of packaging, labeling, and RFID solutions, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing team. The role involves providing strategic input to sales strategies, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the packaging industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide valuable strategic input to the sales strategy and share insights about customer demand and feedback that will inform the product development roadmap
- Identify and develop opportunities to win new business and grow existing business supporting and delivering multi-year growth and performance improvement strategies
- Work closely with Customer Service and IT to ensure successful onboarding for new and existing clients
- Establish and maintain strong direct relationships with strategic brands and clients, identifying the customer needs, recommending appropriate products, systems and programs to expand product mix
- Serve as thought leader to accounts and subject matter expert within the full line of products, capabilities and services of Maxim
- Research accounts, identify key contacts and generate interest in Maxim products and services. Monitor the industry, competitors, customers and consumer trends
- Analyze selling on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis to identify opportunities to drive the business. Provide and maintain up to date and accurate forecasts that provide visibility to management of progression of opportunities with customers
- Understand who the key decision makers and influencers are in the brands, find areas for new business and drive execution across functions working with related Maxim departments including Marketing, Key Account Management, Global and Regional Account Managers and Customer Service
Skills
- 5-10 years of sales experience in the packaging industry with a positive track record of revenue increases year over year
- Proven ability to develop and execute a sales plan vision and strategy to reach target accounts and goal
- Ability to recognize customer needs, building and maintaining relationships and strong proven presentation skills both in person and via the web
- Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytic skills and a data-driven approach to decision making
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Self-driven, motivated, and willing to take on challenges in a very fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop highly productive relationships with individuals and teams that are made up of diverse disciplines and cultural backgrounds resulting in effective working relationships across the company
