Intermountain Health is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to provide expert knowledge of accounting and lead a team in supporting healthcare professionals with fiscal management. The role involves supervising accounting professionals, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and producing quality financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Produces quality financial reporting and helps ensure compliance with internal controls
- Acts as a subject matter expert and resource to others. Provides expertise to other accounting positions and department managers
- Assists Accounting Manager in the overall operations of accounting operations
- Directly supervises others who handle the accounting process for which the individual is responsible or has full accountability to lead a group to desired outcomes. Responsible for day-to-day supervisory duties including staffing, coaching, performance management, and development of direct reports
- Demonstrates understanding of all financial functions and the interrelationship of finance areas within the organization and department
- Delivers accurate, complete, timely results and reports as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field
- Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution
- Demonstrated progressive accounting experience
- Experience in a role requiring attention to detail, project management and complex analytical skills
- Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Master's Degree in accounting or a business-related field
- CPA license
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Database knowledge
- Working knowledge of Intermountain's information systems and financial processes
