Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CodeX Tech-IT LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of corporate financial records. This role involves executing the full closing cycle, managing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing analytical insights to safeguard company assets.
Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures under strict corporate deadlines
- Formulate, validate, and post complex journal entries; systematically maintain the integrity of the general ledger
- Assist in compiling primary financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flows) for executive review
- Perform rigorous reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, fixed assets, and high-volume sub-ledgers
- Investigate, root-cause, and promptly resolve any variances, discrepancies, or aged reconciling items
- Oversee or audit key treasury operations, expense management workflows, and vendor disbursement controls
- Maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance frameworks where applicable)
- Prepare comprehensive, clear work papers and schedules for internal management and external audit teams
- Support timely compliance filings across municipal, state, and federal tax jurisdictions
- Identify, test, and implement workflow automations to compress the close cycle and eliminate manual data entry
- Execute ad-hoc financial modeling, trend tracking, and variance analysis requested by senior leadership
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–4 years of corporate or public accounting experience
- Advanced MS Excel (XLOOKUP, Power Query, Macros)
- Mid-to-Enterprise ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Workday)
- Master's in Accountancy (MAcc) or MBA
