The Cigna Group is a leading healthcare organization, and they are seeking a Pharmacy Account Executive to serve as the primary pharmacy benefits expert for a South Texas book of business. This role focuses on driving client retention and growth through consultative account management and strong partnerships with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and retain a designated client portfolio
- Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert for sales and account teams
- Lead client discussions on pharmacy performance, trends, and cost-management strategies
- Partner with internal stakeholders on renewals, pricing, implementation, and growth opportunities
- Build strong client relationships and act as an escalation point for pharmacy-related issues
- Support finalist presentations and new business opportunities
- Analyze pharmacy utilization and provide strategic recommendations
- Provide support for contracts, audits, reporting, and pharmacy coverage questions
Skills
- 5+ years of PBM, pharmacy consulting, or related healthcare experience
- Experience managing client relationships and renewals
- Strong understanding of PBM operations and pharmacy benefit programs
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of PBM financials, pricing, and contracting
- Experience supporting sales and business growth initiatives
- Located in Houston, San Antonio, or Dallas
