They are seeking an experienced Account Executive to own net-new business across the association market, leveraging existing relationships and navigating complex sales processes.
Responsibilities
- Own net-new revenue across enterprise associations — full cycle, from first touch through close
- Self-source the majority of your pipeline: work your existing network while consistently opening new executive relationships through targeted outbound
- Build strategic account plans for large, complex association opportunities and drive them with urgency
- Run discovery and demos that lead with business outcomes, not feature tours
- Navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees — conference, education, marketing, IT, membership, procurement, and executive leadership — and build champions at each
- Forecast accurately and manage your pipeline with discipline in HubSpot, using MEDDICC to qualify
- Partner with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Leadership across the customer lifecycle
- Show up where our buyers are — industry conferences, association events, and customer meetings — and become a trusted voice in the community
Skills
- 5+ years of successful enterprise SaaS sales, with a proven record of selling software into associations
- Existing relationships across the association marketplace that you can activate
- Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
- A consistent history of exceeding quota
- Strong outbound prospecting paired with strategic account development — you build your own pipeline
- Excellent discovery, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills
- The ability to sell business value, not just product features, and to forecast enterprise deals accurately
- Comfort in a fast-moving startup where initiative and ownership matter more than a playbook
- Familiarity with communities such as ASAE, PCMA, MPI, or other major association networks
