R 2973 Before and After School Teacher's Aide

Position: Before/After School AideJob Goal: Under close supervision of the Before and After School Site Coordinator and/or Before and After School Teacher, assist with the day-to-day programming activities within the After School Program. Qualifications: Must have previous experience working with school-aged children Must be at least 17 years of age Must be able to obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire Reports To: Building-based Before and After Program Site Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities: Monitor children's needs, health, and safety at all times Assist in organizing and facilitating group activities and projects Provide assistance during parent pick up Assist in ensuring safe play conditions for children Provide assistance to students during homework help Encourage children to participate in enrichment activities and organized games Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, positivity, and a strong work ethic Must work well in a team environment Other duties as assigned TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School year Barnstable Public Schools is an EOE and strongly encourages minority candidates to apply.
