Payment Analyst Entry-Level Opportunity

About the position Responsibilities • Provide support for retail sales and payment transactions in Verizon's stores. • Daily balancing of payments tendered and communication with store employees to resolve discrepancies. • Conduct subledger reconciliation of point-of-sale transactions to billing systems and bank accounts. • Perform bank account reconciliation for payment deposits across Verizon. • Handle payment investigations and refund requests from customers using various workflow tools. • Research payments for posting to consumer and business accounts. Requirements • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Business IT, Statistics, Math, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2024 and June 2025. • Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Accounting or Business with an expected completion date between December 2024 and June 2025. • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship. • Willingness to work in Lake Mary, FL. Nice-to-haves • Demonstrated independent thinking and relationship management skills. • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills. • Knowledge of data querying and analytics, record reconciliation, and SQL.
