Other Jobs To Apply No other job posts for this day. Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled General Maintenance and Repair Assistant to join our team. The role involves completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs and tackling a range of other practical tasks both inside and outside of the Town House. Duties: You will have multiple responsibilities, including the following: Plumbing - to resolve basic problems such as installing new taps, sinks and toilets; Electrical - replacing bulbs and other basic electrical duties; Decorating - painting walls and ceilings, touching up skirting boards and door frames, sanding floors and other wooden surfaces; Repairs and maintenance - installing cabinets, doors, countertops and flooring including tiles, carpets or other hard wood or laminated surfaces; Site cleaning; Gardening - where necessary mowing lawns, trimming hedges, bushes and trees, weeding, watering flower beds and repairing border walls and fencing; Conduct regular inspections of equipment including fire fighting equipment; PAT testing; Identifying issues in a timely manner; Replacing or repairing broken equipment and appliances or fixtures, ensuring all maintenance work is completed efficiently, meeting Town House quality standards; Keep adequate records of completed maintenance and repair; Ensure the Town House Manager is aware of any jobs requiring specialist work (outside contractors) and facilitate their maintenance and repair. Experience and Skills: - Proven experience in maintenance; - The ability to do the duties outlined above; - The ability to use hand and power tools effectively; - A good knowledge of overall Health and Safety procedures, and company risk assessments; - a good team member as you will work closely with the Town House General Service Assistants and their Team Leaders; - versatile and flexible; - Customer Service skills as you will be in contact with guests; - English language skills for communication. Should you be successful, a basic DBS check will be carried out as part of the on-boarding process.
