About the position Responsibilities • Provide group and individual counseling services to clients. • Conduct intake and assessment for program eligibility. • Monitor all aspects of care and client services. • Ensure that the needs of clients are met. Requirements • Licensed NJ Professional Counselor (LPC) or NJ Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAC) or Licensed NJ Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). • Knowledge of modern principles of criminal justice, community corrections, and therapeutic communities. • Understanding of counseling and casework methods appropriate for offender populations. • Ability to understand and comply with contract rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. • Ability to work with offenders to gain their confidence and cooperation. • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and agency representatives.
