Job description: Our Vaco team is partnering with a healthcare client on an interim Senior Accountant (HEALTHCARE REQUIRED). This group in particular is looking for someone with physician healthcare experience (i.e. dental, urgent care, hospital, ASC, surgery center, etc.). Joint venture experience is also a plus. Candidates without physician accounting experience will not be considered.Candidates that meet these minimum qualifications will be considered:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or similar
• Must bring 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in a multi-site, acute care, or physician based healthcare organization
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience

As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:

• Performing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
• Assisting in the development of financial statements and reports
• Reviewing and explaining variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
• Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals

Expected salary: $37 - 47 per hour
