Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes engineer with deep expertise and hands-on experience to join our growing team. We are not just looking for someone who can use Kubernetes—we need someone who truly understands how it works at a fundamental level. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Kubernetes infrastructure that powers our IT platform. You will work with a talented team of engineers to ensure that our container orchestration systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage production-quality Kubernetes clusters
• Develop and maintain container orchestration solutions and CI/CD pipelines
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for Kubernetes environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in infrastructure applications
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance
• Implement best practices for security in container and cluster management
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support
• Work directly with clients to resolve technical issues
• Document architecture, procedures, and best practices
• Stay updated with Kubernetes ecosystem developments and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals and architecture
• Experience with Cluster API
• Strong understanding of container technologies
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Experience in Linux system administration and other related concepts
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Strong scripting skills (Python or Go)
• Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience with OpenStack and IT infrastructure
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid IT environments
• Familiarity with Ceph storage solutions
