We are currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic Chemistry, Physics, and Upper Level Math teachers to work with us on a part-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Teach Upper Level Math and Science subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry, using Sylvan-based programs
- Supervise, interact with, and motivate students during instruction hours, providing guidance and support as needed
- Reward students for completed assignments and celebrate their achievements
- Evaluate and document student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
- Communicate student needs to the center director, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed
- Inspire and motivate students, developing a rapport with them and establishing a fun and engaging learning environment
- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the Sylvan method
Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Math or Science subject
- Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring in Upper Level Math and Science subjects
- Teaching or tutoring experience preferred, although we welcome applications from talented and enthusiastic individuals who are new to the field
