Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from members regarding their benefits, handling 20-50 calls per day on average, with a focus on the quality of each call and multitasking abilities.
- Research information regarding deductibles, claim status, providers, and other related topics to provide accurate and helpful responses to customers.
- Answer questions about Medicare and Medicaid, demonstrating a thorough understanding of these programs and their benefits.
- Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and a passion for helping others, even in complex or sensitive situations.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Work up to 2 hours of overtime per week as required, ensuring that customer needs are met and service levels are maintained.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of experience in customer service or a related field, with a proven track record of providing excellent service and handling complex customer inquiries.
- A high school diploma, with post-secondary education or certifications in customer service, communications, or a related field being an asset.
