Key Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues, promoting a culture of compassion, empathy, and inclusivity.
- Participate in events and activities that promote the well-being of our patients and the communities we serve, reflecting the values and mission of arenaflex.
- Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy reviews, and prescription management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Review, interpret, and accurately administer prescribed medications, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to establish procedures that promote the efficient workflow of the pharmacy, enhance patient experience, and optimize financial performance.
- Maintain current knowledge of information technology related to pharmacy systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and retail point-of-sale systems.
- Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims, resolving patient issues and preventing payment denials, and communicating with insurance companies and healthcare providers as needed.
- Perform clinical and health services, such as vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management, promoting preventive care and wellness.
- Support and partner with centralized support for patient enrollment, exemption resolution, and issue resolution, conducting virtual item reviews as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations.
- Certified Immunizer or able to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
