Job Overview
In this part-time Data Entry Specialist role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our databases. Your primary responsibilities will include inputting, updating, and verifying data, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, reviewing and correcting errors, and organizing and maintaining files and records. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure data consistency and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Inputting, updating, and verifying data in our databases with precision and accuracy
- Ensuring data accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors, and implementing measures to prevent future discrepancies
- Reviewing and correcting errors in data entries, maintaining data integrity, and adhering to data management best practices
- Organizing and maintaining files and records, both physical and digital, in a secure and accessible manner
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure data consistency, sharing knowledge, and providing support as needed
- Staying up-to-date with data entry software and tools, recommending process improvements, and participating in training and development opportunities
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors
- Proficient in data entry and management, with experience using data entry software and tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong team-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with data entry software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education or training in a related field an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies
