Key Responsibilities
- Utilize blithequark's data entry systems and procedures to process new patient enrollments and enter information into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient medication requests, investigate missing prescription information, and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Resolve third-party rejections by inspecting, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Communicate with patients, prescribers, and guarantors via phone, chat, and email to resolve issues and provide support.
- Provide assistance to pharmacists, both in the office and in different locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, and accessing information online.
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, and completing online forms.
- Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification organization.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
