Key Responsibilities
- Creates programming that cycles, stores, and serves information for use by others.
- Develops data models and pipelines to integrate, collect, and normalize data that produces insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Writes ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, designs database systems, and develops tools for real-time and offline analytical processing.
- Creates data pipelines that are flexible, repeatable, and secure.
- Investigates software and processes for data integrity and honesty, ensuring that data from various sources adheres to data quality and accessibility standards.
- Resolves issues and obstacles as they occur, collaborating with internal and external peers and supervisors to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in data engineering; OR Advanced degree in a technical discipline.
- High-level knowledge of SQL.
- Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) stakeholders within a matrix organization to ensure quality standards for service.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions for driving improvement of results and finding solutions.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the ideal time for business purposes (inside state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a technical discipline.
- Experience with REST API development.
- Experience with Azure application development.
- Experience in Azure technologies like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks using Python or Scala, App Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Event Grids, and Logic Apps.
- Experience in building Azure DevOPS pipelines to enable CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaaS), and automation.
