This exciting role is part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to payment processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Key Responsibilities

• Complete data entry and balancing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
• Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
• Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related accounting standard ledger balancing
• Work on member cases and tasks assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
• Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
• Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
• Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
• Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and secure payment processing
• Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks, maintaining accurate records and reports
• Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
• Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing excellent customer service and support
• Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures
• Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers
• Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
• Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and responsibilities with ease
• Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, members, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Previous customer/member service experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support
• Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of payment processing, item processing, and fund transfers
• Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
• Skilled in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
