PLEASE VISIT TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION** EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Receives incoming calls in a regional dispatcher center for the towns of Belchertown, Hampden and Wilbraham, including E911, dispatches police, fire, ambulance, animal control and public works emergency responders; operates LEAP/NCIC computer, keeps logs, provides pre-arrival instructions to callers including Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD). MIN. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be certified in E-911 and LEAPS, and pre-arrival instructions, and be or become trained and certified in PowerPhone 911 call handling protocols within 90 days from date of hire; emergency dispatch experience preferred; courtesy and tact in dealing with others, ability to multitask and excellent oral communication skills essential.
