About your new role: In this position, you’ll be a vital member of a small, highly skilled team responsible for the core infrastructure that powers a high-growth, global SaaS platform. The database clusters, load balancers, and Linux/Azure systems you manage are the engine driving the entire platform—supporting thousands of companies around the world in real time. Your work directly impacts the platform’s speed, reliability, and scalability, enabling our rapid expansion into new markets. In this role, every decision you make matters, and your expertise will help shape the foundation of a system that must be available 24/7, across multiple regions, without fail. This is a 100% remote with no travel to customer locations. What You’ll Do Monitor and optimize MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers for high availability. Administer Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs, including patching, tuning, and automation. Manage and optimize Azure resources including Traffic Manager, load balancers, and networking. What You Bring 3+ years as a MySQL or Maria DBA (cloud or hybrid). Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication preferred but not required. Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration experience. Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery know-how. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting). Experience with security compliance in regulated environments (e.g., SOX, HIPAA). Knowledge of large-scale, high-availability systems.
