Data Insights Strategist | 100% Remote (WFH) Opportunity
General Summary
The Data Insights Strategist plays a critical, hybrid role within our Data & Analytics team, blending diagnostic analysis, statistical modeling, storytelling, and strategic impact. This role is designed for a curious, technically capable problem-solver who can uncover insights, validate hypotheses, and translate data into business value. The Data Insights Strategist will be instrumental in helping drive measurable outcomes across our investment streams by supporting test-and-learn initiatives, developing ROI models, and delivering strategic analyses that turn complex data into clear, actionable guidance for leaders across the organization. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, data fluency, and strong communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner across investment streams, product lines, and functional teams to uncover insights that drive business growth, retention, and efficiency
Lead ROI and value realization analysis for strategic initiatives, pilots, and programs
Translate data into structured analyses, models, and executive-level narratives that guide decision-making.
Design and evaluate experiments (e.g., A/B tests, pilots) to support data-informed innovation
Develop forecasting and predictive models using Python, R, or similar tools (basic to intermediate level)
Collaborate with Data Governance and Engineering to elevate data quality and availability for strategic use
Proactively identify cross-functional trends and surface them through clear, compelling data stories via dashboards, visualizations, and presentations tailored to business and executive audiences.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, insight activation, and decision enablement
Build and interpret basic to mid-level predictive or statistical models to support key business initiatives.
Use tools such as Python, R, or Posit Workbench to explore and analyze complex datasets.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure insights are aligned with strategy and result in real-world action.
Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of strategic initiatives and process improvements.
Establish measurement frameworks and hypotheses to support continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
Work closely with BI, data science, and business partners to ensure alignment and consistency in data use.
Translate complex analytical concepts into practical applications for broader business teams.
Champion data-driven thinking to prioritize efforts that yield the highest return on investment.
Requirements
5+ years in data analytics, business analysis, or a related field
Insurance industry experience preferred
Strong analytical and storytelling skills with demonstrated experience influencing decisions
Solid understanding of statistical methods and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python, data visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI), and analytical techniques
Experience working with integrated development environments (IDE), such as Databricks preferred
Comfortable drawing conclusions and making decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information
Experience combining internal and external data for in-depth industry analyses
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Must have excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to learn on the fly and grasp new concepts quickly
Expert Microsoft Office skills
Work Environment:
Remote: This role is a remote (work from home (WFH)) opportunity, and only open to candidates currently located in the United States and able to work without sponsorship.
It requires a suitable space that provides a private and quiet workplace.
Expected Work Hours: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
Travel: May be required to travel to off-site location(s) to attend meetings, as necessary
