Certified Public Accountant / CPA Candidate

You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial records and tax returns for our clients. What we do - The Rainey Accounting Firm, LLC is a growing, full-service CPA firm with a focus on small business and related individual clients. Our goal is to provide financial information to our clients which enables them to capitalize on opportunities to make the most of their business! Who is a fit for this position? This position is for a self-starting, goal oriented, management equipped team player to join our accounting and tax team. We have an absolutely great team and need to add another outstanding member to it! Responsibilities - The candidate will work closely with clients and team members on accounting services for the production of financial statements, utilizing this data for advisory and tax services. This role will also entail management of staff and review of staff deliverables for accounting services as well as tax services and preparation and issuance of tax returns. Ultimately, the team member will help clients utilize the deliverables provided to manage their businesses more efficiently and to maximize their business goals and minimize tax costs. Qualifications - • Integrity and character - above all other qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or CPA qualified • Sufficient prior work experience in accounting and tax (3 to 5 years) • Experienced tax preparation skills for individual, corporate and partnership returns • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook • Adaptive to new technology and open to find and try new solutions - ability to learn new software is a must! • Excellent communication skills - must be able to interact on a professional level with other staff and especially with clients in verbal and written communications • Conscientious of efficiency in work and cost / benefit for the customer • Professionalism with a strong work ethic • Prior public accounting experience is preferred • Prior experience with Thomson Reuters Professional Suite is a plus • Ability to have fun with the work we do and enjoy the work environment!
