Our platform is built on collaboration, integrity, entrepreneurship, and long-term client relationships. We believe attorneys should serve as trusted advisors, helping clients make informed business decisions throughout the entire real estate lifecycle. Responsibilities • Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development matters. • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, operating agreements, loan documents, and related transactional documents. • Advise clients on commercial real estate development, land use, zoning, due diligence, and regulatory matters. • Support property tax appeals, development strategy, Opportunity Zone projects, and public-private partnership initiatives where applicable. • Collaborate with commercial brokers, valuation professionals, construction consultants, financial advisors, and other specialists to provide integrated client solutions. • Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms. • Represent clients in negotiations, dispute resolution, and litigation related to commercial real estate matters when appropriate. • Build and maintain long-term client relationships while helping expand the firm's commercial real estate practice. • Contribute to the continued growth and strategic direction of CRETA LLP. Qualifications • Licensed attorney in good standing (Washington, DC preferred; other jurisdictions considered). • Significant experience in commercial real estate transactions and related legal matters. • Strong understanding of commercial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, entity formation, development, and land use. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills. • Experience using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms. • Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to help build a growing practice. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment. • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and business development skills. Compensation This is an independent contractor and partnership-oriented opportunity. Compensation is based on originated business, revenue sharing, project engagements, and mutually agreed partnership arrangements consistent with applicable legal and ethical requirements. This is not a salaried employee position with unlimited income potential. Why Join CRETA LLP?
